Father Ray Children's Home & Children's Village

Residents from the Father Ray Children’s Home and Children’s Village joined hundreds of other local children one Saturday morning for a competition to see who could paint the best portrait of His Majesty the King of Thailand.

December the 5th is the birthday of the King and it is the biggest national holiday of the year. Children will pay respect to the monarch and there were no shortage of children who volunteered to take part in this event.

The children started their portraits in the open air as the sun was shining overhead, but as the hours passed the clouds got darker until everyone had to run for cover.

Luckily a large space in a nearby department store allowed the children to complete their masterpieces and several of our children received commendations for their work.
