Father Ray Children's Home

On Thursday 5th December the nation came together to celebrate the 86th birthday of HM the King.

Throughout the country, in every village, town and city, people of all ages paid their respects to the father of the nation.

As the day is also celebrated as Father’s Day, the residents of the Father Ray Children’s Home started early morning by placing garlands on the statue of Father Ray.

This was followed by the children paying respect to those male members of staff who take care of them throughout the year.

In the evening, at seven o’clock, the children and workers stood in front of a portrait of the King, lit candles and all sang the royal anthem. At the same time as the children were lighting candles and singing, the whole nation, more than sixty million people, were doing the same.
