Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities

After two years of study at the vocational school the graduating students have one last event to attend, the candlelight ceremony. It starts with Father Michael presenting each student with a floral garland then all the lights are turned out and candles are lit.
The microphone is then passed around and the students say a few work or thanks, thanking the school and the teachers for that they have done for the student.
At times it can be emotional as the students speak of how they could never imagine their lives could change so much.
Once the lights are turned back on white string is tied around the wrists and while doing so a message, usually of good luck, is given to the students. Then they are free
